MY FATHER MY FRIEND
"My peace I give to you", He says in His word.
That's hard to believe and rather absurd.
yet time and again He answers my plea,
never growing weary of hearing from me.
Always waiting, standing close by,
there's never a tear He doesn't see cried.
With patience and kindness He picks me back up,
restoring my faith when I simply give up.
I can count on Him, I know that I can,
He is my Father, He is my friend.

"I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters" says the Lord Almighty.  2 Corinthians 6:18

HEAVEN BOUND ?
If I'm heaven bound, why do I fall?
I slip and I slide against the walls.
Tests and trials, heartaches and pain.
I'm tempted to believe, it's all the same.
Down down, downward I go,
into the dark, to the shadows below.
Then before Him I stood
 with out stretched hand.
My cup will overflow,
surely this is the plan.
Yet broken and shattered the wine ran through.
My Lord, I cried, could this be true?
I asked what to do, how shall it mend?
He said to my heart, "My Son I did send."
As I turned to go, I heard a voice in the night,
"I am the way, the truth and the life."

"Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt you."  Luke 10:19

GRANDMA
Never a harsh word to say
she takes no credit God made her that way
If ever you've thought her to be unkind
you can bet she had your best in mind
Believing in you when you cannot see
past your failures and insecurities
She walks through life with an eternal love
that could only come from her Father above

"Love never fails" 1 Corinthians 13:8

THE LOVE GIFT
No one has a laugh like yours
I tell you, I know it's true
I gave you this with all your gifts
that make you uniquely you
How I wish that you could see
daughter, my smile from above
when you laugh and share your day
with all of those you love
With patience and kindness
I'll guide you along
through life's twists and turns
so never loose heart, for you My child
are My only one

PRECIOUS IN HIS SIGHT
O My child, if you could see how precious you are to Me
The daffodils that cover the hills could never compare to thee
When I look down I see your gown,
flowing white in the breeze
Your sins washed away no crimson remains,
these things I tell you are true
How I long to have you here,
in this place I've prepared for you
Until that time, My child grow strong,
you still have work to do

"So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of it's own. Sufficient for each day is it's own trouble."
Matthew 6:34

THE HARVEST
I look around this world and see
people staring back at me;
with empty eyes as blue as the skies
yet not being able to see.
Blinded by the god of this world
they live among you and me;
yet you say, 'What does this or they,
have to do with me?'
The Lord has spoken and reminds you now,
You've been sent to set Captives free!
Go My child and tell them all
what I have said to thee.
'For Me or against Me, choose ye now!
Do you gather or scatter My seed?'
Speak My Word in truth with love
and leave the results to Me.

"The harvest truly is plentiful,
but the laborers are few."  Matthew 9:37
